About Me

My name is Leila Gardiner and I live in Surrey with my school-aged boys and husband. I started my career in the medical field as a Diagnostic Radiographer. I then specialised in pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound.

It was my personal experiences of birth that led me to start Inspiring births in 2008. After having birth trauma during the birth of my first son, I experienced the profound power of hypnobirthing and hypnotherapy during the home waterbirth of my second son, a birth that was so calm and fast that the midwife didn’t believe I was in full blown labour as I sounded so calm on the phone that I had a 'BBA' (born before arrival of midwife)!

I have continued to see the mind body connection in my private ultrasound clinics and when attending births as a Doula.

My passion is educating and supporting expectant parents, and having the opportunity to connect them with their incredible inner strength and power of both mind as well as a women’s body to conceive, carry and birth babies in a calmer way. It is a great privilege and joy. The skills I teach are life skills, that help couples enjoy meeting their babies and feel stronger as a couple. The person they become learning these, makes it more likely that they achieve their birthing goals.

I have designed these classes combining my knowledge as a hypnotherapist, fertility coach, 17 years as a practicing pregnancy Sonographer and experience teaching hypnobirthing over 12 years, together with 3 years as birth and postnatal Doula.

I am very excited to share all of experience this with you!

On completing my course you will feel:

• Calmer, more empowered, relaxed and able to enjoy the rest of your journey of pregnancy, and also enjoy our bespoke classes.
• Confident with the skills to calm your breathing and your body preparing for birth in the, for most empowered mindset
• Looking forward to give birth and meet your baby, whilst enjoying the anticipation more than before.

I run small group classes for a maximum of two couples in the comfort of my home in Reigate and a private package in the comfort of your home across Surrey, West Sussex and south west London.

You will also get invitation to our free Inspiring Births coffee morning which is wonderful for community friendship, support, social rest over a coffee and cake. As the saying goes it takes a village to raise a baby.

I am also a fertility coach, using the fetal body framework, and have specialised in the rewind birth trauma recovery program.
